ASA History Timeline

An Open OnDemand web interface is added to ASA's High Performance Computer (HPC) systems.

ASA provides services to over 1000 Consortium member sites serving K-12 schools and libraries in all 67 counties.

Project Elevate is a project to insource the services that ASA provides. This is a multi-year project that will include standing up a new network and adding to the ASA workforce. At the end of Elevate, all services will be managed in house.

The Montgomery business office moves from the ACC Building (Adams Avenue) to the RSA Dexter Building (Dexter Avenue).

On July 1, 2026, the AREN 2 network is up and running and Phase 1 members are connected to the network.

In August 2026, ASA has 40 full-time employees and provides services to over 1200 AREN Consortium member sites.
