The Alabama Supercomputer Authority has a longstanding relationship with Funds for Learning (FFL), a professional consulting firm that specializes in the federal E-rate funding program. Funds For Learning has proposed that Congress provide additional funding resources for E-rate applicants. This effort is to provide students with much needed access to internet. We would appreciate you taking a minute to sign the petition using the link provided below.
We appreciate your time and attention.
Alabama Supercomputer Authority
Thank you for trusting Funds For Learning to help you and your organization with E-rate funding. Our whole team is grateful for the opportunity to serve you. It is truly an honor.
I am contacting you today with a personal request. Please sign and share this petition asking Congress to empower the E-rate program to get students online at home. Millions of K-12 students are cut off from their teachers, classmates and learning resources. We don’t know how long this current situation will last, or if it will be necessary again next fall.
Funds For Learning has proposed that Congress make available additional stimulus funding for E-rate applicants to purchase connected devices, off-campus Internet access and cyber security. In the past we have seen special E-rate filing windows open for regions impacted by natural disasters. Now we need a special filing window for this national emergency – and we think that with a few tweaks the E-rate program could quickly accommodate the needs of schools and libraries to help community members get back online.
Help by signing the petition and encouraging others to sign it, too. Here is the link: https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/provide-online-education-for-all-k-12-students
Let’s keep our school and library patrons connected wherever they are during this difficult season. I appreciate your help so much. I hope you are safe and well.
